Education Press Awards
Honoring the teachers, students, and schools that make a difference, state by state.
How the awards work
- Free to nominate. Anyone can nominate a teacher, student, staff member, school, or homeschool program. There is never a fee to enter or to win.
- Published criteria. Each category's criteria are posted before nominations open, so everyone is judged the same way.
- Independent judges. Winners are chosen by a panel of educators and community members who do not work for our sponsors or advertisers.
- Never for sale. Advertising, press releases, and sponsorships have no effect on who is nominated, considered, or selected.
- Student privacy first. Student honorees are named only with written consent from a parent or guardian.
Planned categories
Teacher of the Year, Rising Student Leader, School Staff Hero, Innovative Program, Homeschool Excellence, and Community Partner. Categories, dates, and criteria for the first awards cycle will be announced here and in our newsletters.
For winners
Honorees receive a feature story and a digital badge at no cost. Schools that want framed certificates or a printed badge kit will be able to order one after winners are announced. Ordering a kit is optional and has no connection to judging.
